Okay kids, this is how to download YouTube (or other social media videos) and watch them on your device, and if you want, make them just sounds so that you can listen to them as Audiobooks or Music and listen to them whenevs.
1: Find your content
On whatever video platform, YouTube or Rumble or Odysee or Tumblr or whatever, select the little bar at the top of the screen that has the web address (also called the URL or Universal Resource Locator). Copy that address! Poke it or tap it or swipe across it or use your mouse or use your cat or whatever you have to. Get. That. Address.
2: Download your content
Visit www.pastedownload.com and paste the address in the bar at the top. It will start loading the movie you want. It will show you some dumb ads, then it will show you, further down the page, a list of file types, one or more will be green--and green means go, so pick one and click it.
A new window opens. The video starts to play. On the right bottom side there are three little dots. Click them. Then click download and save the movie to your device.
3: Convert to audio
If you want to create an audiobook or music you can play, here is how:
There is an app called VLC Media Player. It is old school and free and good. Put it on your computer or phone. Yes, install it. It is safe. These are good geeks.
Once you have it installed, open the app. In the File Menu or Tools Menu of VLC, select "Convert/Stream".
There is a pop-up window where you have to do 3 things:
- Open Media means pick your movie file. Find it and pick it.
- Choose Profile means select the kind of file you want to turn it into, pick Audio MP3.
- Choose Destination. Here you want to Save As File. Click browse. Find your original movie file and click on it, but change the ending from mp4 to mp3.
- Now hit Save and it will do its thing.
If the file is big it will take a few minutes. If it is less big, it will be quick. Now drag the music file wherever you want, listen to it, and enjoy. Oh, and you can delete the original movie to make space. Good on you!
